The Public Prosecutor's Office in the province of Sana'a has approved the release of 1000 prisoners on the occasion of the arrival of the month of Ramadan.The head of the Sana'a Governorate Appeals Prosecution, Judge Waddah Al-Qurashi, explained that these procedures, which began in early Rajab, come in implementation of the directives of the Public Prosecutor in inspecting prisons and speeding up the disposal of cases.During the visit, the Chief Prosecutor and prosecutors met with the director of the reformatory, Colonel Ali Abu Kahla, and the statements were matched with the prosecution, the records of the prisoners' registration in the reformatory, and the level of coordination and cooperation in preparing prisoners for investigation and trial sessions.The prisoners were also interviewed, and their complaints, demands, and periods of imprisonment were heard, as well as the conditions of those sentenced to special rights, how they can be paid, and everything that would contribute to alleviating their suffering after they have served their prison sentence.Source: Yemen News Agency
