Fisheries Ministry inaugurated its field visit to fish landing centers and fishermen in Hodeida

The Ministry of Fisheries launched today, Saturday, a field visit to see the conditions of fish landing centers, workers in fishing sector and traditional fishing sectors in the coastal areas of Hodeida.

The Deputy Minister of Fisheries, Taher Khater, visited a group of fishermen and workers in the fish and traditional fishing sector at t Tihama Coast Association and the fishing port in Hodeida on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha.

Khater, accompanied by the agents of the traditional fishing sectors, Abdul Hamid Salah, production and marketing services, Abdul Ghani Al-Wali, and the Executive Director of the Agricultural and Fisheries Encouragement Fund, Abdul Wahhab Al-Ashwal, were briefed on the conditions of fishermen and workers in the fishing port in Hodeida.

The visitors exchanged congratulations with the fishermen and workers on Eid al-Adha, conveying to them the greetings of the revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council, the leadership of the Ministry, the Supreme Agricultural and Fisheries Committee on this solemn religious occasion.

During the visit, along with the Executive Director of Tihama Coast Fish Cooperative Association, Abdul Salam Ibrahim, they discussed cooperation and partnership between the ministry and the association in a way that enhances its capabilities in supporting fishermen and developing the traditional fishing sector.

The Deputy Minister of Fisheries and his entourage listened to an explanation about the tasks and activities of the association, the difficulties facing its work, and how to find appropriate solutions to solve them.

At the meeting, Khater stressed that the next stage requires concerted efforts to advance the fish sector.

While the head of the Sneezing Fisheries Authority and the agents of the traditional fishing sectors Salah, Marketing Services and Primary Production stressed the importance of the visit to see the fish situation, the conditions of fishermen and touch their concerns and needs for the success of their tasks, their role in advancing the fish sector, strengthening the role of traditional fishing and fishermen in coastal areas.

In turn, the fishermen and workers in the fish sector expressed their gratitude for these visits, stressing their full readiness to perform the tasks assigned to them.

They were accompanied during the visit by a number of ministry officials, the Higher Agricultural and Fisheries Committee, fishermen, headhunters, agents and members of Tihama Coast Association
