The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CSTC) has chaired the fifth meeting for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to prepare for the World Radiocommunication Conference 2023 (WRC-23). The preparatory meeting was coordinated with GCC Secretariat General at CSTC headquarters in Riyadh between July 31 and August 3.
The meeting aimed to unify positions on the items of the WRC-23 and discuss several topics, such as coordinating the use of bands for terrestrial and space radio services and working to empower innovative technologies and make bands available to them.
During the meeting, chaired by the Director General of Frequency Spectrum Monitoring at CSTC Eng. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Abd Al-Qader, attendants went over GCC contributions in the field and efforts to provide bandwidths for modern radio applications.
