Al-Hamli meets representative of WHO in Yemen

Ibrahim Al-Hamli, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation (SCMCHA), met today with the representative of the World Health Organization in Yemen, "Arturo Bisiqan".

The meeting discussed a number of issues related to the humanitarian, health aspects and coordination mechanisms to ensure the implementation of projects in the health sector.

The Secretary-General of SCMCHA ,in the meeting, stressed the importance of effective and continuous coordination between the Council and the organization to overcome work problems and develop appropriate solutions in a way that contributes to the implementation of health projects in a way that contributes to alleviating the worst human suffering in the world, which Yemen is experiencing as a result of the aggression and blockade.

He stressed the need to coordinate with the Council, as it is the single window concerned with the work of organizations, through the implementation of projects and activities of the organization, which would raise the level of work in order to achieve positive results that meet the actual need in the field of work and the reality of beneficiaries.

For his part, the representative of the WHO expressed readiness to implement projects in coordination with the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs, praising the Council's efforts in facilitating the work of humanitarian organizations operating in Yemen.

The meeting was attended by the Council's Director of Planning and Projects, Jamal Barih, and Operations, Ahmed Al-Suwaidi.
