Saudi-Jordanian Joint Committee Commences 18th Session in Riyadh

The 18th session of the Saudi-Jordanian Joint Committee commenced today in Riyadh with the presence of the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport and Logistics for Sector Development, Saif bin Saad Al-Fakkar, and the Secretary General of Jordan's Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply, Dana Al-Zoubi.

Al-Fakkar emphasised that these sessions align with the wise leadership's directives and serve as a tangible manifestation of the economic agreement signed between the two countries in 1962 AD, which led to the establishment of the Saudi-Jordanian Joint Committee. He highlighted the shared aspirations of both states to enhance cooperation across various fields and work together as a united team to realise these ambitions.

Furthermore, Al-Fakkar emphasised the importance of implementing recommendations from previous committee sessions and focusing on the realisation of the contents of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and agreements that have been signed. The signing of these agreements is scheduled for the ministerial meeting tomorrow.

Al-Zoubi underscored the strength of the relationship between the two countries across various domains. He expressed that the continuation of these meetings in Riyadh reflects the commitment to finding practical solutions and overcoming obstacles to serve shared interests, enhance trade, and foster economic interactions between the two countries.

The Joint Committee's activities included finalising agreement texts, MoUs, protocols, and implementation programs. These initiatives aimed to strengthen cooperation and address potential obstacles, providing opportunities for collaboration in multiple areas. The positive outcomes of these efforts will contribute to advancing bilateral cooperation and strengthening joint work between the two sides.
