Prime Minister is briefed on progress of rock fragmentation process in Al-Ahjar region

Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, during his meeting on Sunday with his Deputy for Services and Development Affairs Dr. Hussein Maqbouli, was briefed on the progress of the rock fragmentation process in the Al-Ahjar area in Al-Mahweet province.

During the meeting, which was attended by the head of the Civil Defense Authority, Major General Ibrahim Al-Moayyed, Dr. Maqbouli reviewed the progress of the work team assigned to remove rocks that represent a danger and a direct threat to the life and safety of citizens and their property, as well as the safety of visitors to this tourist area.

He explained that the work team was able to break up most of the targeted rocks, up to 85%, indicating that the team will continue its work to break up the remaining rocks according to the work plan and its specified timetable.

Dr. Maqbouli confirmed that all precautions and safe measures were taken in the rock breaking process, which was met with great satisfaction by the people of the region, who expressed their thanks and gratitude to the government and its field team.

The Prime Minister praised the efforts of Dr. Maqbouli and the field work team to accomplish this task and achieve its goals in removing the threat posed by rocks to the lives of citizens and agricultural lands in Al-Ahjar.
