China Links The Solution Of Electricity Crisis In Iraq By Achieving Two Things

The Commercial Counselor at the Chinese Embassy, Shi Chun, announced today, Monday, that there is an ongoing round of talks with the Iraqi government to establish 10 electric power stations, and while he confirmed that China contributed to supplying the national grid with more than 6,200 megawatts, he proposed a single solution to end the electricity crisis in Iraq.

Chun said, to the official agency (INA) that: "Chinese companies are among the main forces to establish and build electrical stations in Iraq," stressing that "the installed capacity of Iraqi electrical stations established by Chinese companies has so far reached more than 6,200 megawatts."

He pointed out, "The Chinese government encourages Chinese companies to participate in power station projects in Iraq, along with Power China and other Chinese companies in Iraq."

He added, "There are more than 10 Chinese companies are discussing projects for Iraqi power stations," noting that "these companies are among the distinguished and advanced companies in China."

He pointed out that "among the important projects that are being discussed with the Iraqi side are the projects of complex stations and electric stations that operate with gasoline and oil in southern Iraq, and other stations in the middle of it," noting that "discussions are currently underway to conclude a contract to establish about 10 stations and energy projects in central and southern Iraq.

He explained, "In order to solve the problem of the electrical crisis in Iraq, the case should not be limited to construction and the establishment of new stations, but rather that China must reform the electric power distribution network," stressing that "the effectiveness of electric power transmission inside Iraq cannot be raised, except through reform electrical transmission network.

He continued, "The Power China Company is in talks with the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity to repair and improve the electrical network in southern Iraq." added that "The current solution to the electric power crisis in Iraq is to "establish new power stations and repair the electric transmission network."/ End
