PM Receives A Delegation From The Romanian Senate And Receives An Invitation From His Counterpart To Visit Bucharest

Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani received an official invitation from his Romanian counterpart to visit the Romanian capital, Bucharest.

A statement from his media office said that Al-Sudani received today a delegation from the Romanian Senate headed by the head of the Senate’s Foreign Policy Committee, Titus Cor Latsian.

The statement explained that the two sides stressed the importance of resuming the work of the bilateral committee between Iraq and Romania.

The statement quoted Al-Sudani as confirming the possibility of Romanian companies participating in major and strategic investment projects and opportunities in Iraq, noting that the development road represents a vital project linking Asia to Europe through Iraq.

For his part, Latsian stressed his country's keenness to develop relations with Iraq and enhance cooperation in the fields of agriculture, industry, cybersecurity and automation, as well as in the field of reforming the banking system, and Romania's aspiration to launch a constructive dialogue between the two countries.
