Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani stressed the necessity of arming the security forces in accordance with the current stage and its requirements, and based on the government’s plans to develop the capabilities of the Iraqi forces, in order to perform their tasks in the best possible way.
A statement by his media office said that Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani chaired this evening the second meeting of the Supreme Armaments Committee.
During the meeting, Al-Sudani was briefed, according to the statement, on the armament plans and programs prepared by the committee, in addition to the priorities adopted in arming the security forces of various types and formations.
The meeting witnessed a review of the procedures related to the Prime Minister’s directive regarding lands for camps.
