Republic of Indonesia President Joko Widodo Friday received in Jakarta the President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), Dr. Muhammed Al-JasserDuring the meeting, Al-Jasser reaffirmed the bank's commitment to supporting Indonesia's development plans within the framework of its Medium-Term Development Strategy 2020-2024, aligning with the 2022-2025 Country Partnership Strategy for Indonesia.He voiced the bank's readiness to support the country's energy transition platform, which will accelerate the shift towards achieving net-zero emissions, in line with principles of sustainability and inclusiveness.Al-Jasser reiterated the bank's support for enhancing cooperation and sharing expertise with the New Capital Authority to achieve balanced development, address climate change, and meet sustainable development goals through the relocation of the capital from Jakarta to Nusantara-an initiative reflecting the Indonesian president's vision.The meeting also covered other topics, including upgrading Indo nesia's health infrastructure, issuing green sukuk, digitizing and enhancing fintech in Islamic finance, strengthening the endowments sector, and assisting Indonesia in mobilizing financial resources through increased collaboration with members of the Arab Coordination Group.Source: Saudi Press Agency
