WHO: We seek to start the second phase of polio vaccination in Gaza

A World Health Organization official said on Friday that the organization has sent a request to the Israeli occupation authorities to start the second campaign of vaccination against polio in the Gaza Strip, starting on October 14."We have asked the Israeli authorities to consider a plan similar to what we did in the first round," said Ayadil Saparbekov, head of the organization's emergency program in the occupied Palestinian territories. "Negotiations are ongoing and a meeting with the Israeli authorities regarding the next stage is scheduled for next Sunday," he added.Source: Maan News Agency
