Over One Million Workers Join UAE’s 53rd Eid Al Etihad Festivities.

Abu Dhabi: Over one million workers have participated in the UAE's 53rd Eid Al Etihad celebrations, as announced by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation. The festivities, which commenced on Monday, were launched under the theme "Our Workers' Happiness in Our Union's Celebration." This event was organized in collaboration with multiple entities including the Ministry of Interior, Dubai Police General Command, municipalities across the UAE, National Ambulance, and Ras Al Khaimah Free Zone.According to Emirates News Agency, the nationwide celebrations spanned two days and featured a diverse array of entertainment activities, competitions, and giveaways. Notably, a raffle was held with a car offered as the grand prize. These vibrant events were supported by diamond sponsorship from the Insurance Pool and platinum sponsorship from Aldar Properties. Additional support came from the Ministry's strategic partners, such as the UAE Food Bank, the International Charity Organisation, and several other char itable and commercial entities.Simultaneously, various festivities were organized within labour accommodations by numerous companies, including Al Eskan Al Jamae, Labotel Workers Village, and Emirates Global Aluminium, among others. These initiatives highlight the UAE's commitment to recognizing and supporting its workforce, which is seen as a crucial component in driving the nation's sustainable development and business excellence.The UAE's commitment to workforce welfare is mirrored in the country's global leadership in various labour market indicators. This is a testament to the effective legislation and policies in place, which include comprehensive social protection systems like the Unemployment Insurance Scheme and the Wage Protection System (WPS). The UAE's efforts are further exemplified by the Emirates Labour Market Award, which, in its second edition, honored 48 exceptional workers for their dedication and outstanding achievements.
