New Delhi: For the third consecutive year, the Muslim Council of Elders will participate in the New Delhi World Book Fair (NDWBF 2025), scheduled from February 1st to 9th, 2025, at the Bharat Mandapam Convention Center in New Delhi. The Council's involvement is driven by its mission to promote peace, encourage dialogue and tolerance, and foster human cooperation and coexistence.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Muslim Council of Elders' pavilion will exhibit over 250 intellectual and cultural publications. Among these are new releases from Al-Hokama Publishing for 2025, including "Religion and the Nations of Greater Asia: Managing Religious and Ethnic Pluralism in China and India," "Peace in Africa: Studies and Visions for Enhancing Stability and Development," and "The Making of International Peace: Drawing from Shared Contexts." Additionally, the book "Islam and the West: An Approach to Causes of Conflict and Monitoring the Conditions of Cultural Exchange" by Mohamed Al-Benyaydi will be featured.
The pavilion will also present several new publications such as "The Quran's Discourse on Humanity" by Ali Mohamed Hassan Al-Amari and "Imam al-Haramayn and His Influence on the Development of the Ash'ari School" by Ali Mohamed Jaber. Other notable works include "Islamic Principles on Family Organization" by Abu Al-Wafa Al-Maraghi, "Conflict Management in the Muslim World" by Dr. Idris Qasim, and "Problems of the Ummah's Division into Sunnis and Shiites" by Dr. Elias Belka.
Furthermore, the pavilion will highlight over 20 works by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders. These include "Al-Qawl Al-Tayyib," "From My Old Notebooks," and "A View on East-West Dialogue," among others. Additionally, important publications such as "Love in the Holy Quran" by HRH Prince Ghazi Bin Muhammad and "The Grand Imam and the Pope: A Thorny Path" by Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam will be showcased.
Recognizing the role of translation in bridging civilizations, the Council will feature 21 books translated into Hindi, Urdu, and Malay. This includes six new releases for 2025, such as "Al Iktirath Fi Hoqouq Al Inath," which have been published in Hindi and Urdu for the fair. Other notable translations include "The Voice of Change" and "Shared Global Values and Making International Peace."
The Muslim Council of Elders will also organize seminars to encourage discussions on social cohesion, environmental responsibility, and the role of religions in contemporary challenges. On February 2nd, a seminar titled "Utilizing Social Media to Promote Peace and Combat Extremism among Youth" will be held. In conjunction with the International Day of Human Fraternity, a seminar titled "The Document on Human Fraternity: A Foundation for Tolerance and Coexistence" is scheduled for February 4th. The seminar "Faith and the Environment: Shared Responsibilities for a Sustainable Future" will take place on February 7th, 2025.
