SAP Launches Business Data Cloud at World Governments Summit in Dubai

Dubai: SAP has announced the launch of its new Business Data Cloud, a solution aimed at unifying enterprise data and enhancing Business AI capabilities.

According to Emirates News Agency, this platform integrates SAP and third-party data through Databricks technology, significantly advancing data engineering, machine learning, and AI functionalities.

SAP Business Data Cloud is designed to transform the interaction between applications and data platforms, offering organizations a reliable data foundation for improved decision-making and AI-driven insights. The global launch aligns with SAP CEO Christian Klein's visit to Dubai for the World Governments Summit. During the summit, Klein met with Omar Sultan Al Olama, UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, to discuss AI's transformative impact on business efficiency and public sector innovation.

Al Olama emphasized the UAE's role as a global hub for technological advancements, while Klein highlighted the unique combination of SAP's process expertise and Databricks' data engineering capabilities in this new solution. SAP Business Data Cloud supports the UAE's AI goals by helping organizations move from isolated data silos to a cohesive data framework, paving the way for intelligent automation and strategic decision-making.

In addition to the Business Data Cloud, SAP introduced AI agents powered by Joule, its generative AI copilot, designed to streamline processes in finance, service, and sales using real-time enterprise data. A new agent builder capability will also allow customers to create and deploy custom AI agents tailored to their specific business needs, enhancing productivity and operational efficiency.

SAP's initiatives reinforce the UAE's status as a leader in AI and digital transformation, with the Business Data Cloud and AI-driven solutions enabling businesses to maximize data potential and support sustainable economic growth. The World Governments Summit, themed 'Shaping Future Governments', gathered global leaders and experts to explore future trends and transformations, featuring numerous sessions and discussions.
