Sharjah: His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the University of Kalba, witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Sharjah Women's Sports (SWS) and the University of Kalba. The agreement aims to enhance cooperation and communication between the two institutions, focusing on the development of women's sports and contributing to the wider sports sector and society.
According to Emirates News Agency, the MoU was signed at the University of Kalba by Hanan Mohammed Al Mahmoud, Vice President of the SWS, and Dr. Najwa Mohammed Al Hosani, Director of the University of Kalba. The agreement outlines plans to exchange visits between the University's and SWS's facilities, including the Sharjah Women's Sports Olympic Centre. These visits aim to facilitate discussions on cooperative opportunities, sharing of best practices, and promoting research.
The agreement also includes creating a list of job opportunities in women's sports, aiming to prepare female students in relevant fields. It provides training opportunities and facilitates job postings for graduates. Participation in conferences related to women's sports medicine and science is also planned, along with the presentation of research and opportunities for graduates to serve as speakers, under certain conditions.
The MoU calls for regular meetings and coordinated efforts to develop effective strategies for implementing its provisions, ensuring maximum benefit for students. A joint working team will be formed, including experts in education, sports, and administration, to manage the planning and execution of joint initiatives, ensuring the MoU's goals are met.
