Ahmed Bin Mohammed Stresses Need for Unified Arab Efforts to Communicate Region’s Message Globally


Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, highlighted the necessity of strengthening collective efforts to unify the Arab voice and communicate the region’s message to the global community. He emphasized that this message is grounded in a commitment to peace, empowering individuals to establish a future based on stability, progress, and prosperity.



According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed made these remarks during a meeting with Arab information ministers attending the Arab Media Summit in Dubai. The summit is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. During the meeting, attended by H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed exchanged views with the ministers about the future of Arab media, emphasizing the need for increased cooperation on crucial regional issues.



He stressed the significant role media plays in shaping narratives and steering outcomes that contribute positively to the Arab region’s wellbeing. H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed reiterated the UAE’s support, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, for media and media professionals. This support underscores a belief in media as a vital partner in sustainable development, capable of driving social change, unlocking potential, and accelerating progress.



The Arab information ministers expressed their profound appreciation for the UAE’s role in supporting Arab causes both regionally and internationally. They praised the UAE’s notable contributions to human progress through various projects and initiatives serving the broader Arab interest. Among these initiatives is the Arab Media Summit in Dubai, which aims to foster dialogue among Arab media leaders and key industry figures.



The Summit’s objectives include developing a clear vision for the media sector’s future, affirming its positive impact on an Arab renaissance, and mobilizing efforts to secure a future of progress and prosperity for the region. The meeting also included Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office and Chairman of the UAE Media Council; Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information of Bahrain; Paul Morcos, Minister of Information of Lebanon; and Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council, President of the Dubai Press Club, and Chairperson of the Organising Committee of the Arab Media Summit.
