Ministry of Sports Holds First ‘Customer Councils’ of 2025 to Enhance Service Efficiency

Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Sports held its first 'Customer Councils' of 2025, under the Zero Bureaucracy Programme, signifying its dedication to enhancing government services and operational efficiency within the sports sector.

According to Emirates News Agency, the session was attended by Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports, and Ghanim Mubarak El-Hajeri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports, alongside more than 40 representatives from national sports federations. Dr. Al Falasi highlighted that the organisation of the first Customer Council for 2025 underscores the ministry's commitment to involving customers in the advancement of sports services.

Dr. Al Falasi stated, "At the Ministry of Sports, we operate according to a participatory approach based on innovation, integration, and flexibility. We believe that true development begins with the customer, who is best positioned to identify challenges and propose practical solutions based on their daily experience."

He further explained that Customer Councils serve as a direct engagement tool, crucial for identifying areas of improvement and adopting proposals that streamline procedures and lessen administrative burdens on customers, aligning with the 'Zero Bureaucracy' programme. This initiative contributes to the UAE Government's pursuit of global leadership in delivering services that meet and exceed customer expectations.

He also announced the launch of the 'Sportifai' digital transformation platform, aimed at digitising processes and expediting their completion to facilitate service access. The platform offers data to all sports entities in the country, connecting them within a unified ecosystem through advanced technologies based on artificial intelligence and precise data.

Through the combination of direct engagement and digital transformation, the ministry aims to offer a seamless, equitable, and flexible experience for all users while enhancing service efficiency to support the future of Emirati sports.

The 'Customer Councils' serve as an innovative government tool for enhancing communication with stakeholders, providing an open platform for exchanging ideas, addressing challenges, and identifying opportunities for development.

Following the Council, dedicated teams within the Ministry of Sports responsible for service development and bureaucracy reduction began reviewing the proposals and feedback submitted by federation representatives. These proposals are being prioritised for implementation to support operational excellence and elevate service quality across the board.

This initiative forms part of the Ministry's broader efforts to enhance user experiences, streamline administrative procedures, reduce documentation, and expand access to efficient, technology-enabled sports services. This commitment aligns with the objectives of the "We the UAE 2031" vision, which seeks to position the UAE as one of the world's most efficient and leading governments.
