Ajman’s Department of Land Launches ‘Real Estate Business Incubator’ to Boost Entrepreneurship

Ajman: The Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation in the Ajman Government, in collaboration with the New Economy Academy, has launched the ‘Real Estate Business Incubator’ as part of “The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World” national campaign, marking a significant step in fostering real estate entrepreneurship in the region.

According to Emirates News Agency, the announcement was made during a press conference hosted by Ajman’s Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation and the New Economy Academy. Key figures such as Eng. Omar bin Omair Al Muhairi, Director General of the Department, and Dr. Laila Faridoon, CEO of the New Economy Academy, were present to outline the programme’s objectives.

The Real Estate Business Incubator aims to qualify and license 200 real estate brokers over the next five years, starting with 40 in the inaugural edition. The programme is designed to attract a new generation of real estate entrepreneurs capable of leading and managing projects in the sector. This will be achieved through comprehensive training programs, specialised workshops, and opportunities for ambitious youth to enter the world of real estate entrepreneurship according to international standards.

The initiative provides an integrated ecosystem of support, including professional mentorship, hands-on training, personalised consulting, and technical support. These efforts are intended to empower real estate entrepreneurs and startup owners in Ajman, fostering national talent and enhancing innovation and sustainability in the emirate’s real estate sector.

Eng. Omar bin Omair Al Muhairi described the Real Estate Business Incubator as a strategic initiative aimed at advancing Ajman’s real estate sector. He emphasized the programme’s focus on qualifying national talent and creating a legislative and regulatory framework to stimulate innovation.

Al Muhairi stated: “We are committed to empowering entrepreneurs to lead the real estate sector through specialised training, working closely with our partners in the New Economy Academy. We aspire for Ajman to become a leading model for real estate entrepreneurship, both nationally and regionally.”

Dr. Laila Faridoon added that the six-month programme will feature intensive training courses focused on technical and administrative skills in real estate, including practical mentorship and training in digital leadership and property marketing. The New Economy Academy has established a professional mentorship programme where industry experts provide continuous support, encouraging participants to innovate and develop their ventures in a technologically integrated environment.

Aligned with the national campaign, the incubator programme supports the UAE’s vision of fostering SMEs and creating an innovation-friendly regulatory landscape. Its core focus is on providing a comprehensive ecosystem of services, creative solutions, and increasing awareness of investment opportunities in Ajman.

The programme unfolds across four stages, beginning with a selection phase where candidates are evaluated and 40 participants are chosen annually. This is followed by an intensive four-month training period covering real estate fundamentals and strategic business skills. In the third phase, participants receive practical mentorship, applying their learning in real-world scenarios with expert guidance. The programme concludes with a final evaluation, supporting participants in developing strategic plans for their future endeavors.

The national campaign was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to bolster the UAE’s standing as a global hub for entrepreneurship. It is supervised by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, in collaboration with the UAE Government Media Office and the UAE Council for Entrepreneurship, bringing together over 50 partners from the public and private sectors, business incubators, accelerators, and academic institutions.
