Dubai: Amr Kamel, General Manager of Microsoft UAE, said that the company continues to expand its investments in artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure across the country.
According to Emirates News Agency, Kamel made these remarks during the opening day of GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai, highlighting that the UAE’s experience in artificial intelligence has become an inspiration worldwide. He noted the pivotal role the UAE has played in advancing AI capabilities, ranging from infrastructure development to practical applications. Over the past few years, Microsoft has spearheaded numerous initiatives in collaboration with government entities and local companies to ensure the effective development and deployment of AI technologies.
Kamel also stressed the significance of supporting startups and small enterprises, explaining Microsoft’s commitment to empowering these businesses. This includes aiding them in accessing markets and providing the necessary technical and technological support to foster local innovation.
He further mentioned that the past two years have seen a marked increase in the number of startups collaborating with Microsoft. This growth is attributed to the UAE government’s visionary leadership, which has cultivated an ideal environment for attracting investment and developing technological solutions from the UAE to a global audience.
