China’s Foreign Trade Sees 4% Growth in First Nine Months of 2025

Beijing: China’s total goods imports and exports in yuan-denominated terms rose to 33.61 trillion yuan (about US$4.73 trillion) in the first nine months of 2025, marking a 4 percent increase compared to the same period last year, as revealed by official data on Monday.

According to Emirates News Agency, the General Administration of Customs reported that the growth rate in foreign trade accelerated from the 3.5 percent increase recorded in the first eight months of the year. This indicates a positive trend in China’s trade activities as the year progresses.

In September alone, China’s imports and exports reached a total of 4.04 trillion yuan, reflecting an 8 percent increase on a yearly basis. This monthly performance highlights a significant boost in trade activities, contributing to the overall growth observed so far in 2025.

The data underscores China’s ongoing expansion in foreign trade, with the latest figures suggesting increased economic activity and international trade engagement.
