The President of Chad Engages with OIC Secretary-General in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi: The President of the Republic of Chad, Marshal Mohamed Idriss Déby Itno, welcomed Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), at his residence in Abu Dhabi. This meeting coincided with the launch of Chad's National Development Plan, titled "Connecting with Chad 2030," which took place during the UAE-Chad Trade and Investment Forum on November 10th and 11th, 2025.

According to Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the discussions between President Déby and Mr. Taha focused on the results of the National Development Plan and Chad's initiatives to enhance trade and investment. The President expressed gratitude to the Secretary-General for leading a high-level OIC delegation to the launch ceremony of the development plan. He highlighted the crucial role of strengthening cooperation between Chad and the OIC, particularly in supporting Chad’s National Development Plan.
