Bishkek: A delegation from the International Charity Organisation, led by Secretary-General Dr. Khaled Al-Khaja, is in Kyrgyzstan to oversee and inaugurate 70 charitable and humanitarian projects as part of the 'Winter Frost' campaign. This initiative is designed to support vulnerable communities in the region.
According to Emirates News Agency, the projects under this campaign are primarily focused on construction, maintenance, and furnishing of homes, provision of heating resources such as coal and firewood, and the upkeep and heating of mosques. Additional efforts include the sponsorship of orphans and low-income families, as well as providing medical assistance to patients. The campaign also encompasses programmes aimed at supporting productive families, among other initiatives.
Dr. Al-Khaja emphasized that the visit is a component of the Winter Frost campaign, which is a significant seasonal initiative of the organisation. The campaign's goal is to deliver warmth and protection to groups in need, particularly in regions experiencing sub-zero temperatures. He urged donors to continue their contributions to these efforts and expressed gratitude for their ongoing support throughout the year.
This visit marks the organisation's first field mission in 2026 and is set to be succeeded by 12 more visits throughout the year. These visits will coincide with other seasonal campaigns, including those planned for Ramadan and Eid Al Adha.
