Mansoor bin Mohammed Inaugurates 27th Intersec Exhibition in Dubai

Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Ports and Borders Security Council, today inaugurated the 27th edition of Intersec, the preeminent global exhibition for security, safety, and fire protection. The event is taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre and will run until 14 January.

According to Emirates News Agency, this year's edition of Intersec features participation from over 1,200 exhibitors representing more than 60 countries. It is anticipated to draw over 50,000 visitors worldwide. The exhibition boasts an extensive agenda of conferences and events, engaging over 250 experts and speakers across a sprawling 65,000 square metres, highlighting the international scale of the event.

Sheikh Mansoor was accompanied by distinguished officials including Lieutenant General Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Civil Defense; Dr. Abdulla Busenad, Director General of Dubai Customs; Lieutenant General Awad Hader Al Muhairi, Vice President of Dubai's State Security Department; Mishal Julfar, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services; and Khalifa Ibrahim Al-Sleis, CEO of the Security Industry Regulatory Authority (SIRA).

Sheikh Mansoor emphasized that Intersec's organization underscores Dubai's role as a global hub for advanced security and safety systems development. He noted that the event provides a platform for government and private sector entities, decision-makers, and experts to showcase cutting-edge technologies and solutions.

He remarked, "Intersec has become a leading global platform dedicated to security and safety. The scale of international participation reflects the growing confidence in Dubai's capacity to host major events that shape the future of key sectors through an environment conducive to innovation and knowledge exchange."

During his tour, Sheikh Mansoor reviewed advanced solutions and technologies from national and international companies. He visited pavilions including those of Transguard, LINEV Systems, SIRA, and Axis Communications, where he was briefed on initiatives supporting the security sector's development and regulation.

His tour also included visits to Motorola Solutions, Keniventi (Robert Bosch), UXE, WEFLO, Lichfield Fire and Safety, Bristol Fire Engineering, and NAFFCO, where he examined solutions for security, safety, and emergency response.

He visited the General Command of Dubai Civil Defense pavilion and reviewed advanced initiatives such as the upgraded 'Shark' Drone (Shaheen 2), Snorkel Vehicle, RZR Vehicle, Firefighting Robot, Explorer Robot 2, and the DCD GPT System, which supports operational efficiency through artificial intelligence.

Intersec 2026 focuses on five core sectors: Homeland Security and Policing, Cybersecurity, Commercial and Perimeter Security, Fire and Rescue, and Health and Safety. These sectors offer insights into how entities are addressing physical and digital risks.

On its opening day, expert-led sessions on security, safety, and protection were held. Activities continue with further sessions in the International Security Leaders' Summit, Fire and Rescue Conference, Control Room Innovation Theatre, and Innovation Forum. The day's events will culminate with the Intersec Awards ceremony at Conrad Dubai.
