Dubai: Abeer AlRamahi, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the UAE, emphasised the depth of the fraternal and longstanding relations between the two fraternal countries, noting that these ties are clearly reflected in ongoing cooperation across political, humanitarian, relief, and development fields.
According to Emirates News Agency, in statements made on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit in Dubai, AlRamahi highlighted the significance of Palestinian participation in the global event. The presence of the Head of the General Personnel Council, holding ministerial rank, is seen as an important step in conveying the 'Palestinian narrative' to international platforms and informing the world about Palestinian challenges and aspirations in public administration and governance.
The ambassador praised the summit's vital role as a platform that gathers thought leaders and decision-makers. She noted that the event attracts more than 60 heads of state and government, over 500 ministers, and representatives from more than 150 governments, alongside a distinguished group of global thought leaders and experts. This gathering provides an exceptional opportunity for the State of Palestine to build international networks, engage in bilateral meetings, and participate actively in specialised forums during the summit.
AlRamahi concluded her remarks by expressing gratitude to the UAE for hosting and organising the major event. She commended the opportunity given to the State of Palestine to be present and actively engage in this global assembly, which contributes to shaping the future of governments.
