Mohammed Bin Rashid Celebrates Future Government Leaders Programme Graduation

Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, attended the graduation ceremony of the third cohort of the Future Government Leaders Programme, held at the World Governments Summit (WGS) 2026. H.H. Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the importance of developing the capabilities of the next generation of Arab government leaders to enhance government performance and address global challenges.

According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the UAE's commitment to empowering young Arab leaders who can drive positive change. He stated that investing in national talent is essential for governments to keep pace with global trends and design a better future for societies. The event was attended by Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future, and Vice Chair of the World Governments Summit, along with several senior officials.

The Programme, a collaboration between the UAE Government and the Arab Administrative Development Organization of the League of Arab States, aims to equip young Arab leaders with skills necessary for future governance. Implemented in partnership with the Government Experience Exchange Programme (GEEP) and the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), the third cohort included 29 young leaders from the Arab world and featured 30 leadership sessions, expert dialogues, and policy design labs.

Focusing on innovative government services, smart legislation, government talent readiness, and sustainable development, the Programme adopted a practical training approach. This included leadership discussions, strategic labs, field visits, and executive coaching, culminating in a visit to the UAE. Since its inception, the Programme has graduated 100 leaders, fostering a sustainable Arab leadership network to support government transformation and drive positive change.
