Sharjah: The Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA) has announced its extensive programming line-up for Ramadan 2026, covering its television, radio channels, and digital platform, Maraya, during a press conference in Aljada, Sharjah.
According to Emirates News Agency, the line-up includes 18 Emirati, Gulf, and Arab drama series, alongside over 100 programmes that span social, religious, cultural, and entertainment themes. This initiative aims to cater to community interests, capture the essence of Ramadan, and promote societal values rooted in Emirati traditions.
Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, Director-General of SBA, emphasized that the Ramadan programme line-up reflects SBA's vision of providing value-driven media content that aligns with Emirati and Arab family values. He noted that the programming balances entertainment with innovative content, reinforcing media's role in reflecting family life and public awareness. Khalaf highlighted the influence of cultural visions from H.H. Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi and H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi in shaping these efforts.
Salem Ali Al Ghaithi, SBA Director, stated that the programming aims to meet community aspirations, focusing on public awareness and UAE customs. He emphasized that the line-up is designed to be both competitive and complementary, enhancing the cultural role SBA plays in Sharjah and the UAE. Dr Mona Abdulaziz Al Radmi, Director of Programming at Sharjah TV, highlighted a documentary on Quranic schools in Africa and announced several new programmes.
Ismail Eissa Al Hosni, Director of Al Sharqiya TV, and Saeed Rashid Al Ketbi, Director of Al Wousta TV, discussed their channels' focus on cultural identity and societal values. Khalifa Hassan Khalaf, Director of the Holy Quran Radio and Channel, announced religious and cultural programmes, including Taraweeh and Qiyam prayer broadcasts. Hussein Shaheen Abdullah, Director of Programming at Sharjah 2 TV, introduced multilingual shows under the theme "Feel Ramadan."
Saif Al Rais of Sharjah Radio and Saif Abdulrahman of Pulse 95 Radio outlined their stations' diverse content, blending entertainment and educational value. Meanwhile, Hind Al-Saidi of Maraya detailed exclusive digital series offerings. The presentation film showcased the programming line-up, emphasizing its variety and depth.
