Rahma Supports Over 1,960 Cancer Patients with Community Aid

Abu dhabi: The Cancer Patient Care Society - Rahma announced that it has facilitated treatment and medication provision for more than 1,960 underprivileged cancer patients from different nationalities since its inception in 2015. This support has been made possible through the contributions of the community, donors, and partners.

According to Emirates News Agency, Rahma provided assistance to 493 patients in 2025 through various programmes that included medical care, medication, and psychological and social support. These efforts have helped alleviate financial burdens on patients and their families.

The society highlighted that several child patients have been able to return to school following their treatment, while others have continued their recovery without worrying about treatment expenses.

Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Rahma, emphasized the association's ongoing commitment to its mission of supporting cancer patients in need, aligning with the UAE's values of giving and tolerance.

Salwa Ali Alhosani, Director-General of Rahma, noted the increasing requests for treatment and medication support. She added that Rahma collaborates closely with partners to carefully assess cases and ensure that assistance is directed to those most in need.
