Abu dhabi: Emirati female citizen Zafranah Ahmed Al Hosani, aged 72, is participating in the bowling competitions of the Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026, which are currently taking place and will continue until 15th February. Al Hosani, a mother of champions Hamda and Maryam Al Hosani, is competing with the aim of encouraging women to take part in various events.
According to Emirates News Agency, Al Hosani expressed her enthusiasm during the event's opening, stating her commitment to undergoing bowling training at Zayed Sports City. This preparation ensures her readiness to perform well and serves as inspiration for women of all ages to engage in sports activities.
Al Hosani highlighted the significance of the Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi as a major global event, emphasizing its value in promoting community sports participation. She underscored the importance of such participation in maintaining good health, aligning with the event's objectives of encouraging community members to practise sports.
