Dubai: 'WORLDEF Dubai 2026' concluded at Dubai CommerCity, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ). The event lasted three days and featured strategic dialogues, showcasing the global momentum in the digital commerce ecosystem.
According to Emirates News Agency, the forum, hosted in Dubai for the second consecutive year, attracted over 18,000 attendees, including decision makers, founders, investors, and experts from more than 80 countries. This emphasized the growing dynamism of Dubai's digital trade ecosystem and reinforced the emirate's role as a global platform for dialogue and future shaping of the digital economy.
The event focused on the future of digital commerce, its integration with AI, cybersecurity, supply chains, and cashless payment solutions, while examining the outlook for cross-border trade over the next decade amid rapid transformations in the global digital economy.
Amna Lootah, Director General of Dubai CommerCity and Director General of the Dubai Airport Freezone, mentioned that the forum is not just keeping pace with global shifts in digital trade but also shaping them. She highlighted the platform's role in blending policy and technology with capital and innovation, which enhances Dubai's economic ecosystem's readiness for the future. This aligns with Dubai Economic Agenda D33, further consolidating the emirate's position as a global capital for the digital economy and smart trade.
Omar Nart, Chief Executive Officer of WORLDEF, remarked that the event, over three days, created a space for diverse perspectives and alliance-building that will influence the next phase of digital commerce. The outcomes extended beyond discussions, resulting in practical recommendations that fortify global digital commerce integration. He praised the organizational success and broad international participation, reflecting a consensus on accelerating digital transformation and enhancing market readiness to meet the demands of the digital economy with confidence and efficiency.
