Over 200 Killed in Mine Collapse in DR Congo

Rubaya: More than 200 people were killed on Tuesday in a mine collapse in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The tragic incident occurred at the Rubaya mining sites, which are known for their coltan resources, in the North Kivu province.

According to Emirates News Agency, the DRC Ministry of Mines reported that the mine collapse followed exceptionally heavy rains in the area. Local media have suggested that the death toll may exceed 400, with many individuals still missing.
