Abu dhabi: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Healthpoint, part of the M42 group, to enhance access to specialised healthcare for its employees. This strategic partnership is a testament to MoFA's ongoing efforts to improve the quality of healthcare services provided to its employees and their families, aligning with internationally recognised standards and best practices.
According to Emirates News Agency, the agreement was signed by Omar Obaid Alhesan Alshamsi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Dr. Ali Anees, Chief Operating Officer UAE and Bahrain of M42's Global Patient Care platform. The MoU aims to provide exclusive benefits to MoFA employees, such as priority appointment booking, additional specialised medical consultations, and alternative treatment plans. Furthermore, the agreement includes a 15 percent discount on services not covered by health insurance.
The partnership extends to organising health-focused events, including medical screenings and virtual sessions on public health and healthy lifestyle practices. Omar Obaid Alhesan Alshamsi highlighted that this collaboration is in line with the declaration by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, designating 2026 as the 'Year of the Family.' This underscores MoFA's commitment to a supportive work environment prioritising employee wellbeing and access to comprehensive healthcare services.
Dr. Ali Anees expressed that the collaboration reflects a shared vision to advance specialised healthcare delivery. Healthpoint is dedicated to providing seamless access to patient-centred care with a focus on innovation, preventive care, and integrated healthcare solutions. The services offered will address the evolving needs of MoFA employees, covering specialties such as orthopedics, dermatology, dentistry, and more.
