Manama: His Majesty King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa welcomed Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, along with his delegation at Al-Sakhir Palace today. The meeting focused on reviewing the current regional situation and efforts being made to address it. Discussions also covered important developments on regional and international levels, as well as several issues of mutual interest.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, also had a meeting with his Kuwaiti counterpart. They explored ways to enhance cooperation and coordination in political and diplomatic spheres at both regional and international forums. The goal was to serve the interests and common objectives of both nations, while supporting the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in rallying support for the Council member states' stance on recent Iranian attacks and the resulting impacts on life and property.
The ministers also addressed the implications of Iran's closure of the Strait of Hormuz on the global economy, particularly concerning energy, food supply, and international trade. They discussed the latest regional developments and current challenges, emphasizing the GCC's efforts to promote joint Gulf cooperation. The focus was on solidifying unity to maintain the security and stability of member states, protect their citizens and residents, and defend their interests.
