Abu dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, has chaired a significant meeting of the Ministerial Development Council in Abu Dhabi. The meeting was centered on reviewing the progress made in implementing various government programmes and initiatives, as well as discussing proposals aimed at enhancing efficiency across multiple sectors.
According to Emirates News Agency, the agenda of the meeting included in-depth discussions on studies and strategies concerning industry, the economy, and foreign trade. Additionally, several new policies were examined within the public services sector. Key topics included the governance of government digital projects, regulation of postal services in the UAE, and the adoption of advanced practices to promote environmental sustainability.
The Council also evaluated draft regulatory decisions that impact healthcare and health professions, personal status matters, and services provided by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security. In the domain of governmental work affairs, the Council assessed the progress and outcomes of various government strategies and initiatives, reviewing reports from federal councils and committees for the year 2025. These reports included insights from the Emirates Infrastructure and Housing Council, the Industry Development Council, and the National Food Safety Committee.
Furthermore, the meeting addressed recommendations from the Federal National Council concerning the government's policy on artificial intelligence and strategies related to achieving national security within the pharmaceutical and medical supplies industries.
