Sharjah: His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, attended the graduation ceremony of the sixth batch of certified reciters at the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah, comprising 311 graduates. The event was held at the University City Hall in Sharjah.
According to Emirates News Agency, His Highness announced the completion of the Encyclopedia of Rhetorical Interpretation while launching three new encyclopedias. The 'Rhetorical Interpretation,' consisting of 68 volumes, is the first to thoroughly address the rhetoric of the Holy Qur'an, a project that took four years to complete. His Highness also launched the 'Quranic Word' encyclopedia project, which studies each word of the Holy Quran in its semantic and contextual context, and signed the first copies of two additional encyclopedias focusing on reading methodologies and the work of Ibn Kathir.
His Highness expressed his joy at the completion of the projects and praised the dedication of Sharjah's institutions to making Sharjah a hub of science and knowledge. He emphasized the importance of strong foundational structures for scientific progress across various domains, a philosophy that has guided Sharjah's development for over 50 years.
The Ruler of Sharjah also announced the commencement of "Dar Al-Hadith" in Sharjah University City, an institution dedicated to Hadith studies. This initiative aligns with His Highness's commitment to establishing institutions focused on Arabic language, Quranic sciences, and Islamic studies to ensure educational and aesthetic excellence.
His Highness highlighted Sharjah's efforts in promoting science and the Arabic language in African countries, noting the significant presence of African students at Al Qasimia University. He spoke of his forthcoming publication, 'Al Kawn wa Unasi Kathiran,' a project covering the history of the universe and past nations.
The Chairman of the Holy Quran Academy, Dr. Khalifa Musbah Al Tunaiji, thanked His Highness for his unwavering support and detailed the Academy's strategy for 2027-2029, focusing on digitizing Quranic projects and enhancing global accessibility for students and researchers.
Dr. Muhammad Safi Al-Mustaghani, Secretary-General of the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah, reviewed the Encyclopedia of Rhetorical Interpretation's development, highlighting its unique features and the contributions of 68 scholars worldwide.
Commemorative photos were taken with the scholars and collaborators, and Dr. Khalifa Al Tunaiji presented the sixth batch of graduates with Quranic certificates. The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, scholars, and guests.
