Abu dhabi: Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, strongly condemned the attack carried out against the UAE using a drone, which resulted in a fire breaking out in the vicinity of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant.
According to Emirates News Agency, Al Yamahi emphasized that targeting vital and civilian facilities constitutes a violation of international law and poses a threat to the security and stability of the region. He described the attack as an unacceptable infringement on the UAE's sovereignty and a direct threat to its security and territorial integrity.
Al Yamahi reaffirmed the Arab Parliament's solidarity with the UAE and expressed full support for all measures taken to preserve its security and protect its critical infrastructure. He emphasized the parliament's firm stance against all forms of terrorist attacks that target the security and stability of Arab nations.
The Speaker highlighted that the security of the UAE is integral to the Arab national security system. He urged the international community to take a firm stance against such hostile acts that threaten regional peace and security and violate international law and the United Nations Charter.
