Berlin: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, recently met with Alexander Dobrindt, Minister of the Interior of the Federal Republic of Germany. The meeting focused on enhancing the strategic relations between the United Arab Emirates and Germany, emphasizing mutual interests across various fields.
According to Emirates News Agency, the discussions highlighted the deep-rooted UAE-German relations built on mutual trust and partnership. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan pointed out that the partnership between the two nations serves as an advanced model of cooperation in numerous sectors.
The meeting also covered recent regional developments, specifically addressing the Iranian terrorist attacks that targeted civilian sites in the UAE using missiles and drones. Additionally, the unprovoked drone attacks from Iraqi territory, including the recent incident at the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant, were discussed.
Alexander Dobrindt expressed Germany's support for the UAE and condemned the terrorist activities. In response, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed gratitude for Germany's solidarity, assuring the safety of residents and visitors in the UAE.
The meeting was also attended by notable figures including Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Minister of State; Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Minister of State; and Ahmed Wahib Al Attar, UAE Ambassador to Germany.
