Belgrade: Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, met with Aleksandar Vucic, President of the Republic of Serbia, at the Serbia Palace in Belgrade to discuss strengthening strategic partnerships supporting sustainable food security systems under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the UAE and Serbia. The meeting was part of her official visit to Serbia, aimed at bolstering bilateral cooperation in food security and sustainable agriculture.

Silal, part of the UAE's food security system, highlighted the success of its partnership with Serbian producers, particularly in growing the Serbian barley variety 'Java' in the UAE. The visit also included discussions on advancing cooperation in food security, sustainable agriculture, agri-technology, livestock development, and agricultural trade between the UAE and Serbia.
Dr. Amna Al Dahak held a bilateral meeting with Dr. Dragan Glamocic, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Serbia, focusing on cooperation in food security and sustainable agriculture. The discussions also emphasized the importance of the upcoming United Nations Water Conference 2026, hosted by the UAE, as a platform for advancing desalination technologies.
During her meeting with Marko Cade President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, discussions revolved around moving cooperation beyond government frameworks towards direct trade partnerships. Dr. Amna Al Dahak also attended the Serbia Business Summit 2026, addressing economic cooperation and climate policy, featuring dialogue with Mohamed Alabbar, Founder of Emaar Properties.
The visit concluded with Dr. Amna Al Dahak attending the 93rd International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, regarded as one of Southeast Europe's leading agricultural exhibitions.
