Cairo: Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, strongly condemned the Iranian attacks on civilian facilities in the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain, which involved the use of ballistic missiles and drones on Wednesday.
According to Emirates News Agency, Aboul Gheit issued a statement emphasizing that the Iranian attacks on civilian objects and vital facilities, including Kuwait International Airport, resulted in casualties, injuries, and considerable material damage. He highlighted that these actions represent a violation of the Charter of the United Nations, international humanitarian law, and the 1949 Geneva Conventions and their Additional Protocols.
He urged Iran to cease these attacks immediately and unconditionally, calling for an end to policies of provocation and escalation that threaten regional security and stability.
The Secretary-General affirmed the League of Arab States' complete solidarity with Kuwait and Bahrain, supporting all legitimate actions they undertake to protect their sovereignty, citizens, and territorial integrity.
