Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre and Ultrahuman Healthcare Partner to Develop Biological Health Age Model

Abu Dhabi:The Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC) has entered into a strategic partnership with Ultrahuman Healthcare SP LLC, a global health technology firm, to create a Biological Health Age model. This initiative will integrate clinical biomarker data with wearable health data to offer personalized insights into health and aging, aiming to enhance preventive health measures in Abu Dhabi.

According to Emirates News Agency, the model will help individuals understand how various factors such as cardiovascular health, sleep, metabolism, and recovery affect their long-term health. These insights are expected to promote earlier interventions and more targeted prevention strategies, allowing for proactive health management.

Unlike chronological age, which counts the years a person has lived, biological health age offers a comprehensive view by assessing multiple health indicators to understand the aging process better. As life expectancy increases worldwide, healthcare systems are shifting their focus to healthspan, emphasizing predictive, preventive, and personalized healthcare approaches through data and technology.

Abu Dhabi's public health ecosystem, with its digital health infrastructure and clinical data, provides a conducive environment for developing such innovative health initiatives. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ADPHC and Ultrahuman sets a two-year framework focusing on scientific research, clinical validation, and data governance while ensuring data privacy within the emirate.

This collaboration aligns with Abu Dhabi's broader investments in genomics and preventive health, aiming to improve quality of life through precision public health. Dr. Rashed Alsuwaidi of ADPHC highlighted the shift in public health from disease management to prevention and early intervention, noting the importance of understanding aging and healthy longevity. Mohit Kumar, CEO of Ultrahuman, emphasized the significance of this collaboration in advancing health monitoring within Abu Dhabi's advanced health ecosystem.
