Dubai:Dubai Chambers has announced the introduction of the Agentic AI category as part of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award. This new category aims to acknowledge Dubai-based private sector companies excelling in the practical and responsible implementation of Agentic AI, showcasing tangible business results.
According to Emirates News Agency, the category will recognize companies for their leadership in adopting Agentic AI and developing innovative applications that lead to measurable business performance improvements. It highlights the significant role of Agentic AI in enhancing productivity, transforming workflows, and strengthening business competitiveness across various sectors in Dubai.
The initiative is part of Dubai's private-sector Agentic AI transformation programme, led by Dubai Chambers, aligning with directives from H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The programme seeks to accelerate the adoption of Agentic AI, improving administrative and operational processes within companies while enhancing efficiency and decision-making capabilities.
Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, emphasized the importance of Agentic AI as a driver of business competitiveness, innovation, and growth. Lootah articulated a commitment to enabling the private sector to responsibly harness these technologies to boost productivity and foster sustainable economic value.
The new category is focused on effective Agentic AI applications that execute tasks, coordinate workflows, and support decisions autonomously, maintaining human oversight and cybersecurity safeguards. It targets companies that have successfully deployed Agentic AI on a large scale.
Submissions will be assessed through a framework benchmarked against international best practices, focusing on Agentic AI Talent Readiness, Implementation and Use Cases, Cybersecurity Alignment, and Measurable Business Results. An independent panel of judges will evaluate the entries, with shortlisted applicants presenting their use cases for final selection.
With the new Agentic AI category, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Award now encompasses several awards, including the Outstanding Business Award, Family Business Award, Global Expansion Award, and the Agentic AI category, all sponsored by various Dubai chambers. The award, initiated in 2005, continues to recognize companies committed to excellence and innovation, supporting Dubai's sustainable economic development.
