Dubai:The UAE Artificial Intelligence Office, in partnership with Emirates Health Services (EHS) and Siemens, has launched a specialised training programme aimed at healthcare leaders. This initiative is designed to enhance the capabilities of EHS leaders, hospital directors, consultants, and medical specialists in utilizing agentic artificial intelligence (AI) to improve healthcare services.
According to Emirates News Agency, the programme is part of the UAE’s efforts to transition from AI applications for individual tasks to integrated intelligent systems capable of understanding objectives, executing tasks, and managing complex operations. The training was conducted alongside UAE Codes Day, emphasizing partnerships between government entities and global technology firms to advance national capabilities.
The programme, attended by key figures like Yousif Mohammed Al-Serkal, Director-General of EHS, includes interactive sessions, practical demonstrations, and regional use cases. It focuses on the progression from individual AI applications to interconnected systems that coordinate workflows throughout the healthcare journey. Participants engage in interactive labs to explore AI tools and develop solutions tailored to healthcare institutions.
The training covers essential topics such as organisational change management, AI governance, risk management, and clinical safety. It aims to empower leaders to make informed decisions on adopting, implementing, and scaling AI solutions. The programme concludes with workshops to identify transformation and innovation opportunities at EHS, assessing them based on impact, technological readiness, and safety requirements.
UAE Codes Day, celebrated on 29th October, marks significant milestones in the UAE’s digital journey, including the launch of the region’s first eGovernment initiative and Dubai Internet City. In 2023, UNESCO designated 29th October as World Coding Day, following a proposal by the UAE.
