Yokogawa is showcasing integrated systems at ADIPEC designed to optimize operations using AI, robotics, and cloud computing. The discussions surrounding AI are shifting from its energy requirements to its potential in energy development. Nadeem also highlighted the company's alignment with the UAE's initiatives to develop local talent and strengthen manufacturing, such as the Make it in the Emirates and Make it with ADNOC programs.
The long-standing energy relations between the UAE and Japan were noted, including the first shipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the UAE to Japan in the early 1970s. Yokogawa is leveraging the UAE's strategic location as an export base to serve GCC countries and other markets like Brazil. Nadeem mentioned that Yokogawa produced approximately 20,000 industrial transmitters in the UAE last year, with nearly half exported.
