Abdullah Bin Zayed and US Secretary of State Discuss Regional Peace and Security

Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a phone conversation with Marco Rubio, US Secretary of State, to address the latest regional developments.

According to Emirates News Agency, the conversation focused on the repercussions of recent unprovoked Iranian missile attacks on the UAE and other countries in the region, and their impact on international peace and security, energy supplies, maritime security, and global economic stability. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah expressed appreciation for the US's solidarity with the UAE following these events.

The discussion also covered the recent announcement by US President Donald Trump regarding a ceasefire between the United States and Iran. The leaders explored ways to achieve sustainable regional peace and security through enhanced collective action to address current challenges and support stability and prosperity. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah praised President Trump's efforts to reinforce security and stability both regionally and globally.

Furthermore, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah commended the initiatives by President Trump and Secretary Rubio to advance peace between Lebanon and Israel, emphasizing that sustainable political solutions are key to addressing crises and fostering a stable environment in the region.

The discussion also highlighted the growing strategic relations between the UAE and the United States, focusing on strengthening cooperation across various sectors. H.H.
