Abdullah Bin Zayed Discusses Iranian Missile Attacks with Global Leaders

Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, engaged in a series of phone calls with international officials and foreign ministers to deliberate on the repercussions of Iran's unprovoked missile attacks on the UAE and neighboring countries.

According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Abdullah conducted discussions with several key figures, including Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar; Milojko Spajic, Prime Minister of Montenegro; H.H. Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia; Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain; Jeenbek Moldokanovich Kulubayev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan; Toshimitsu Motegi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan; and Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.

The discussions focused on the serious implications these developments have for regional security and stability, as well as their impact on the global economy and energy security. Sheikh Abdullah and his counterparts strongly condemned the missile attacks, describing them as violations of international law and the United Nations Charter, while posing a threat to the sovereignty of states and regional stability.

The conversations also highlighted the right of the affected countries to take necessary measures to protect their sovereignty and ensure the safety of their citizens, residents, and visitors, in line with international law. Sheikh Abdullah expressed appreciation for the solidarity shown by friendly nations, assuring that all residents and visitors in the UAE remain safe.

Furthermore, the calls emphasized the importance of strengthening international cooperation to maintain regional security and stability and to support the aspirations of the region's people for development and economic prosperity.
