Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, engaged in significant discussions with several foreign ministers regarding recent regional developments following Iranian missile attacks targeting the UAE and allied nations.
According to Emirates News Agency, the discussions took place over phone calls with H.H. Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, Ayman Safadi of Jordan, and Fernando Aramayo of Bolivia. These talks focused on the recent announcement by US President Donald Trump of a two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran, emphasizing the importance of Iran's adherence to halting hostile activities.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed highlighted the necessity for Iran to fully commit to an immediate cessation of hostilities, ensure the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and halt threats to navigation, trade, energy security, and the global economy. He also expressed gratitude for the solidarity shown by these nations, assuring the safety of residents and visitors in the UAE.
The discussions highlighted the need for international collaboration to foster sustainable peace and enhance regional security and stability.
