Abu Dhabi: The General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs is set to participate in the inaugural Abu Dhabi Business Week, themed “Deliver Value. Create Impact”, scheduled from 4th to 6th December 2024 at ADNEC Abu Dhabi. The event represents a significant platform for showcasing the administration’s initiatives and future plans to enhance trade and bolster the business sector in the emirate.
According to Emirates News Agency, Abu Dhabi Customs aims to use the event to highlight its efforts in supporting Abu Dhabi’s burgeoning economy and reinforcing the emirate’s position as a prime destination for investments. A key focus will be on the customs facilities and preferential treatments available to companies registered in the Authorised Economic Operator Programme.
Visitors to the Abu Dhabi Customs stand will be introduced to the customs clearance process via the invisible customs system, which includes pre-arrival clearance and clearance from outside the country. The display will also feature proactive and
automatic digital services, as well as AI-supported systems aimed at increasing operational efficiency. These innovations are designed to facilitate global trade movement and strengthen supply chains, aligning with the emirate’s strategy to transition towards a smart, diversified, and sustainable economy.
The participation of Abu Dhabi Customs in Abu Dhabi Business Week forms part of a broader strategy to strengthen strategic partnerships, which are crucial for promoting sustainable economic development in Abu Dhabi. The event will gather over 150 speakers and 8,000 participants, including decision-makers, CEOs, international investors, and entrepreneurs, to explore the business opportunities in Abu Dhabi’s supportive economic environment.
