Abu dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Modern Sailing Team, operating under the auspices of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, has embarked on an overseas training camp in Singapore for the Optimist class, taking place from April 10 to 17. This initiative is part of the team's strategic plan to increase its international presence in marine sports.
According to Emirates News Agency, the training camp aims to bolster the technical performance and competitive experience of the sailors. The camp includes sailors Khalifa Al Rumaithi, Zayed Al Hosani, Hamad Al Muhairi, and Dhiab Al Muhairi. They are under the supervision of coach Albir Ahmed Tarhan, with team manager Khalifa Al Saadi also accompanying the delegation.
The programme features technical and tactical training sessions and offers exposure to different training schools. By investing in overseas training programmes and adopting global practices, the club aims to strengthen Abu Dhabi's position as a hub for marine sports.
