AD Ports Group Finalizes AED295 Million Warehouse Sale to Mair Group

Abu dhabi: AD Ports Group has officially announced the sale of KEZAD Logistics Park - KLP Free Zone 3 (FZ3) in Abu Dhabi to Mair Group for AED295 million. Located in KEZAD Al Ma'mourah, the free zone industrial and logistics group of warehouse assets benefits from its proximity to Khalifa Port and direct access to major transport corridors, enhancing connectivity to regional and international markets.

According to Emirates News Agency, the transaction includes the sale of the warehouses along with a land lease under a 50-year Musataha arrangement. The total value of the deal is AED295 million, which is payable over a two-year period, with AED74 million provided as an upfront payment. The proceeds from the sale are intended to de-lever AD Ports Group's balance sheet.

KLP Free Zone 3 covers a total land area of 128,451 square metres, offering 59,822 square metres of gross leasable space across four purpose-built blocks designed to support various industrial and logistics activities. Abdullah Al Hameli, CEO of Economic Cities and Free Zones at AD Ports Group, emphasized that the sale aligns with the group's strategy to recycle capital and unlock value from mature assets while retaining long-term control of strategically important land through Musataha structures.

He further stated that the sale fortifies the group's balance sheet and enables the redirection of capital into new infrastructure and growth opportunities within the Economic Cities and Free Zones portfolio. As part of the deal, AD Ports Group will provide interim operational and maintenance support to Mair Group for up to three months under a Transition Services Agreement to ensure a seamless handover process.
