ADJD Enhances Legal Services for Foreigners Through Innovative Workshop.


Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), in cooperation with the Australian Embassy in the UAE, recently organized a workshop focused on showcasing its advanced services for the foreign community. This initiative is part of the ADJD’s commitment to educating non-Arabic speaking residents about its digital services and fostering a legal culture.

According to Emirates News Agency, the workshop attracted a diverse group of foreign community members, aiming to raise legal awareness and inform them about the Department’s innovative and quality services. These services are considered a pioneering model for judicial and notarial services globally, aligning with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The initiative seeks to enhance legal knowledge, provide top-notch judicial services, and strengthen Abu Dhabi’s appeal as a hub for foreign investments.

During the workshop, participants were briefed on the Civil Marriage Law No. 14/2021 and its implications in Abu Dhabi. Additional
ly, the workshop explained the purpose of the Civil Family Court, which utilizes a flexible and modern approach to address personal status issues for foreigners, thereby ensuring efficient legal proceedings.

The event also highlighted the English Notary Services Bureau, a groundbreaking facility in the Middle East that simplifies legal documentation by expediting the certification process for contracts and documents in English. This service aims to improve service quality and customer satisfaction significantly.

Furthermore, the workshop focused on the role of the Foreign Experts Court in Abu Dhabi, established in 2019. This court handles disputes related to commercial activities, foreign investments, and business conflicts, with rulings issued in both Arabic and English, ensuring accessibility for all involved parties.
