Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) and Abu Dhabi Cycling Club (ADCC) have entered into two partnership agreements with the National Health Insurance Company – Daman. These agreements are set to bolster the promotion of healthy lifestyles across Abu Dhabi.
According to Emirates News Agency, the agreements will see Daman maintain its role as a pivotal supporting partner for various community events organized by both ADSC and ADCC throughout the year. This collaboration underscores Daman’s ongoing commitment to health and wellbeing within the community.
Aref Hamad Al Awani, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, expressed pride in the enduring partnership with Daman. He highlighted the shared commitment to fostering a culture of sports and healthy living across all societal segments. Al Awani emphasized that these agreements would aid in preventing lifestyle-related diseases, improving physical fitness, and enhancing the quality of life, aligning with Abu Dhabi’s broader public health objectives. He also pointed out the importance of strengthening social bonds and promoting mental health through inclusive community engagement.
Al Awani further stated that the collaboration represents a pioneering model for activating the Year of Community initiative through events that benefit individuals and uphold national values. Khaled Ateeq Aldhaheri, CEO of Daman, echoed these sentiments, noting Daman’s commitment to launching sustainable community initiatives and promoting a healthy lifestyle. He emphasized Daman’s role in corporate social responsibility by supporting events that merge health awareness with community participation.
Aldhaheri added that Daman’s vision focuses on building a healthier and more prosperous society through investment in innovative solutions that support the UAE’s priorities in integrated healthcare and community wellbeing. He expressed optimism about achieving meaningful outcomes that positively impact lives and strengthen Abu Dhabi’s global standing in public health and quality of life.
The agreements are part of ongoing efforts by ADSC and ADCC to create a comprehensive sports environment that encourages healthy living through inclusive and engaging events aimed at increasing community participation. The signing ceremony took place at the Abu Dhabi Sports Council headquarters, attended by key figures such as Aref Hamad Al Awani, Khaled bin Shaiban Almehairi, Chairman of Daman, Khaled Ateeq Aldhaheri, CEO of Daman, and Al Nekhaira Al Khaili, Executive Director of ADCC.
